Maharishi Jyotish Program

As You Sow, So Shall You Reap

02 June 2019

There is a Vedic expression: Heyam duhkham anagatam, which is translated as “Avert the danger that has not yet come.” The word “danger” refers to the inevitable consequences of our own past actions. Through the Maharishi Yagya program we can take responsibility for our past actions and neutralize their effect.

Maharishi often spoke about how we cannot escape the consequences of our past actions. He used an ancient proverb to explain how the law of action and reaction works: “As you sow, so shall you reap.”

Yet Maharishi also said that through the Maharishi Yagya program, we can be saved from the influence of our past actions. During a Global News Conference in 2002, Maharishi addressed this apparent contradiction, explaining how Maharishi Yagya performances actually can undo the wrong that has been done.

Something We Have Done, We Can Undo

There is a Vedic expression: Heyam duhkham anagatam. This is translated as “Avert the danger that has not yet come.” The word “danger” refers to the inevitable consequences of our own past actions. “How does the danger come?” asks Maharishi. “Because of our own wrongdoing.”

Through the Maharishi Yagya program we can take responsibility for our past actions and neutralize their effect. “Because it is our own doing, we can undo it,” explained Maharishi. “Certainly, we can do something so that it is neutralized. Maharishi Yagya is a preventive program, so that any mistake done by us can also be undone by us.”

Maharishi used an analogy to explain this principle. “If we did something wrong, and the thorn came to our finger, we can carefully take the thorn out of the finger. It’s our own doing.”

Maharishi Yagya Performances Are Not Manmade

The Maharishi Yagya program is a complete system to promote higher states of consciousness. It is eternal, and true for all times. It’s not created by humans, but rather is the language of the transcendental field, through which the transcendental field itself speaks.

“Maharishi Yagyas are not humanly conceived procedures,” said Maharishi. “They are Nitya (eternal) and Apaurusheya (uncreated), promoted by the language of the Self itself, which is the Vedic language.”

Vedic language is the language of Natural Law. “The language of Natural Law is an eternal reality,” said Maharishi, “and the language of Natural Law is an eternal reality even in all this field of change, because it’s not humanly projected. It’s not human speech. It’s the speech of that eternal value of intelligence.”

Utilizing the Eternal Knowledge of Frequencies

Maharishi also explained that “Vedic words are the frequencies of lively fully awake consciousness, or lively fully awake intelligence.” Consciousness reverberates in speech and travels just like ripples on water, creating physical expressions such as the physiology. All the fibers of the physiology are composed of frequencies of intelligence.

It is the knowledge of these frequencies that constructs the system of Yagya. Maharishi Yagya performances are the proper sequentially organized words of the Veda, and they produce specific effects. The Maharishi Yagya program is a highly technical and systematized knowledge of frequencies that has been preserved in the ancient oral tradition of India, the Vedic Tradition. Maharishi revived this system in its purity and effectiveness.

Every Action Has a Reaction

The saying “As you sow, so shall you reap” is an expression of the principle of modern science which states that every action has a reaction. It’s also a fundamental principle of Natural Law.

The specific procedures of the Maharishi Yagya program, which are prescribed in great detail in the Vedic Literature, use this same law to neutralize the wrongdoing, to avert the danger that has not yet come. In other words, Maharishi Yagya performances use specific actions to undo wrongdoing from the past.

“The Maharishi Yagya procedures are from that level from where the result of an action emerges,” said Maharishi. “You do this, and this will happen. Who designs this? It’s Nature. It’s Natural Law that designs this.”

Administration of Infinity

The range of Vedic Science is from infinite diversity to eternal unity. Maharishi Vedic Science is far beyond the reach of any other science because it is the science of infinity.

“Administration of infinity—creation of infinite diversity from the eternal unity—it’s not a humanly conceived thing,” said Maharishi. “The human mind can understand it to some little extent, and can own it practically in the total measure that is possible for the human mind. Such understanding is only from being it. It is understood by our awareness being it.”

The Maharishi Yagya program is the eternal system of producing the effect from an action. “It’s a self-determined value,” said Maharishi, “the Nitya Apaurusheya system of producing the effect from an action.”

Total Knowledge of Life Is Veda

Interestingly enough, it’s through locating one point in time, the birth time, that the Maharishi Jyotish program allows us to calculate the effects of our past actions. “Who knows when I raise this hand here, what influence I’m producing in the sun and the moon?” asked Maharishi. “Maharishi Jyotish is an aspect which knows everything. And from there one can see all possible activities for life. So, this total knowledge of life is the Veda.”

With this knowledge of the Maharishi Yagya and Maharishi Jyotish programs in hand, no one should be allowed to waste time. As Maharishi commented: “It’s a very beautiful, very beautiful thing. And it’s a blessing for the world.”
